Suspects sought in attempted robbery

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects who reportedly stabbed two men in an attempted robbery late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.

According to the Carson City Sheriff’s Department, the suspects knocked on an apartment door at 1600 Airport Road sometime between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. and demanded money. When the resident opened the door, the two suspects, armed with knives, allegedly rushed him and entered the apartment.

The resident fought with one of the suspects and was cut during the struggle. A second occupant, wrestled with the second suspect and was stabbed and cut during the struggle. He was able to disarm the suspect and took off a beanie that was covering the suspect’s face. Both of the suspects fled the apartment on foot.

“A very large and unique knife was left behind by one of the suspects,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Suspect 1 is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a gray hoodie and black pants.

Suspect 2 is described as a white male between 16-18 years old, about 5-8, approximately 140 pounds, with medium length blond or brown curly hair.
