Commission meets Wednesday

The second County Commission meeting of March will be conducted today at 1:15 p.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding recognition of Churchill County employees for years of service for the first quarter of 2015.

Consideration and possible action regarding update of current activities, plans, or actions related to the Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management.

Consideration and possible action regarding resolution 05-2015 authorizing the sale of property held in trust by the Churchill County Treasurer for unpaid taxes and directing publication as provided by statutes.

Consideration and possible action regarding city of Fallon’s application to acquire property, APN: 001-536-01, being held in trust by the treasurer for non-payment of property taxes.

Consideration and possible action regarding presentation of update from the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District related to the Newlands project.

Consideration and possible action regarding update on public land issues, PILT, geothermal, Secure Rural Schools, public land transfer, wild horse/burro, and sage grouse and approval of payment of annual membership dues.

Consideration and possible action regarding membership renewal with the American Lands Council.

Consideration and possible action regrarding approval of a Hold Harmless agreement with Dream Builders Construction for work to be done on the Fallon Golf Course bridge.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of Audit Engagement Letter from Eide Bailly LLC related to Churchill County’s audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015.

Consideration and possible action regarding recommendation of a construction method for the Senior Center facility.
