Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Pair arrested on suspicion of drug charges

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 4:46 p.m., Christopher Schumacher, 33, of Carson City, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and obstructing a peace officer after deputies responded to reports of an unknown problem at the Hot Springs Road Nevada Department of Parole and Probation. At the same incident, Fraizer Young, 29, of Reno was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of dangerous drug without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana less than one ounce. Bail for Schumacher was set at $9,800 and bail for Young was set at $4,100.


SATURDAY

At 8:47 a.m., Edward Moser, 18, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 3300 block of Highway 50. Moser was suspected to be driving a stolen scooter. Bail was set at $2,500.

At 10:44 a.m., a 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana less than one ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia, open container and minor in possession of alcohol after deputies responded to reports of a possible hit and run at the Convair Street Nature’s Bakery. Bail was set at $1,887.

At 1:09 p.m., Chase Henderson, 25, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony robbery with a deadly weapon and felony ex-felon in possession of a firearm after deputies conducted a warrant search near the 100 block of Riley Circle. Henderson is suspected to be involved in the armed robbery of the Harbor Freight Tools store on Sept. 19. Bail was set at $65,000.

At 5:32 p.m., Terry Bessey, 45, of Reno was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, felony parole violation and expired registration after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 50 and Brown Street. At the same incident, Tina Cummings, 48, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail for Bessey was set at $3,525 and bail for Cummings was set at $3,500.

At 8:10 p.m., a 61-year-old Carson city man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense and hit and run after deputies responded to reports of a vehicle accident near Telegraph and Plaza streets. Bail was set at $1,500.


SUNDAY

At 7:05 a.m., a 45-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of interfering with a public officer and battery on a peace officer after deputies responded to an unruly inmate at the Carson City Jail. Bail was set at $5,000.

At 8:35 p.m., a 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing after deputies responded to reports of a possible domestic disturbance near the 3100 block of Gordonia Drive. Bail was set at $300.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
