An evening of appetizers, desserts, music and dancing will be offered at Friends of the Carson City Library’s masquerade gala on Oct. 24 at Silver Oak Country Club.
There will be prizes for best costumes, as well as movie-themed gift basket raffles.
The event is a fundraiser to help the Carson Library, Western Nevada, and Carson Community Center put on the 3rd Annual International Film Weekend in February.
Tickets for $50 per person, $25 of which is tax deductible, are available at Browser’s Corner Bookstore, across from the library on Roop Street.
