Steve Hale is returning to present a chautauqua performance of Comstock characters at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Gold Hill Hotel, 1540 Main St., Gold Hill.
The performances will feature Lake Tahoe historical figures John “Snowshoe” Thompson, George Whittell, Jr., Dr. James E. Church, John C. Fremont, and Stephen T. Mather. Hale’s performances are 2016 NPS Centennial Commissioned performances.
The Thursday Night Gold Hill Lecture Series features local historians and performers to present the topic of their choice. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. at the Crown Point Restaurant at the Gold Hill Hotel. The lecture begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Room.
The cost is $25 for the dinner and lecture and $10 for the lecture only. Advance reservations are required by calling the Gold Hill Hotel at 775-847-0111.
