Carson Valley Community Theatre is holding auditions for “Forty Carats,” a play about Ann Stanley, a 40-year-old divorcee who meets a man in his early twenties after her car breaks down while vacationing in Greece.

Roles are available for male and female characters who range in age from 20 to 40 years old, but auditioners can be younger or older to get a part. Roles will be cast from cold readings from the script. Sides will be available 30 minutes prior to auditions for review. Auditioners are asked to bring a theater experience biography if they have one; acting experience is not required.

Auditions at The Annex in the Copeland Building in Minden will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 18; from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 21; or by appointment by calling 408-804-3366.

Rehearsals begin in January, with an initial read-through to be held before Christmas. Rehearsals will be held from 6:30 or 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, depending on the availability of the cast. The show runs the weekends of March 25 and April 1, with no show on Easter Sunday. For more information, go to www.carsonvalleycommunitytheatre.org.
