Commissioners meet tomorrow morning

The first County Commission meeting of September will be conducted tomorrow at 8:15 a.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding special recognition of employees who participated in the fourth annual Community Day Event held on Aug. 1.

Consideration and possible action regarding update on activities and programs of Domestic Violence Intervention and the shelter.

Consideration and possible action regarding update on Churchill Economic Development Authority activities and request for funding support for preliminary rail-park design for a rail-park development grant application.

Consideration and possible action regarding presentation by the Nevada Department of Transportation of the updated bike plan which, if adopted, will be incorporated into the Churchill County Master Plan.

Consideration and possible action to enter into agreement with HUD for the provision of the Primary Assistance and Transitional Housing grant.

First reading: Consideration and possible action regarding Bill 2015-E, Ordinance 114, an ordinance providing for the establishment and enforcement of a Rabies Control Program, setting the ordinance for public hearing on Oct. 1, 2015, and directing the clerk to publish notice in the paper as required by law.

Consideration and possible action regarding hiring of a professional to research and draft an update to Chapter 12, Policy Plan for Public Lands, of the Churchill County Master Plan.

Consideration and possible action regarding selection of a design professional for the Churchill County Detention Facility.

Consideration and possible action regarding estate of May Laca and James and Marion Morgan — a merger and re-subdivision parcel map in the A-5 zoning district for APN: 006-331-21, which is a 5-acre parcel with 0.00 water rights owned by James and Marion Morgan, and APN: 006-331-22, which is a 114.22 acre parcel with 68.9 water rights.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval to contract with NEOGOV to provide an online Applicant Tracking System to Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding addendum to Amended Connection Fee Agreement with Fallon-Haneva, LLC extending the Amended Connection Fee Agreement for an additional three years.

Consideration and possible action regarding amendment to interlocal agreement between public agencies for the juvenile detention facility with Lyon County.

Consideration and possible action regarding capitalization policy update for infrastructure assets of Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding appointment to the Churchill County Cemetery Board.

Consideration and possible action regarding appointment of representatives to the Western Nevada Development District Board of Directors.

Consideration and possible action regarding letter to Gov. Brian Sandoval requesting that he appeal to the Bureau of Land Management to answer Nevada’s concerns related to the sage grouse plan.

Consideration and possible action regarding performance evaluation of the county manager.
