21st Annual Kids Fishing Day set for June 10 at Davis Creek

Carson City Elks Lodge No. 2177 is hosting its 21st Annual Kids Fishing Day for kids ages 5 through 12 from 8 a.m. to noon June 10.

The event coincides with Nevada’s Free Fishing Day, which means no fishing licenses are required.

The group will meet at the Lakeview group picnic area of Davis Creek Regional Park in Washoe Valley.

There will be a limited supply of fishing poles available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own poles and chairs.

Also offered are a raffle and free hotdogs at the end of the derby.
