Carson City Elks Lodge No. 2177 is sponsoring a free, Kids' Fishing Derby on Saturday, May 12.
That "Tommy's Fishing Derby" will be held at Davis Creek Pond in Davis Creek Park in Washoe Valley.
Derby check-ins will be at 9 a.m. with the derby to run from 9 to 12 noon.
Ages are 2-12 for the derby contestants.
There will be free hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and sodas for the contestants and their families.
