Carson City Elks Lodge No. 2177 is sponsoring a free, Kids' Fishing Derby on Saturday, May 6.
That fishing derby will be held at Davis Creek Pond in Davis Creek Park, located in Washoe Valley.
Derby sign-ups are at 8:30 a.m. with the derby to run from 9 to 11 a.m.
The biggest fish will get a prize, and there are prizes for all contestants.
There will be a lunch of free hamburgers and hot dogs for all of the contestants and their families.
