Three Senator girls golfers take home postseason all-region awards

Carson High’s Karen Beglin was named the 4A Northern Region girls golfer of the year, following the conclusion of the 2019 season.

Beglin won the Northern Regional title before finishing fifth at the girls state golf tournament for the second time in her career.

Sarah Wiggins earned second team all-region recognition for her play this year, missing a state tournament berth by one stroke.

Fellow Senator girls golfer Sophia Taggart was awarded an honorable mention selection.

Beglin also was named as the Sierra League player of the year.

Wiggins was a first-team all-Sierra League selection while Taggart also earned an honorable mention nod from the Sierra League.
