The Carson High boys basketball team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 57-42 win over Santana of San Diego in the San Diego Classic on Saturday.

Galena boys defeat Faith Lutheran

Nine players scored for the Galena High boys basketball team in its 54-31 win over Faith Lutheran of Las Vegas in the Prep Holiday Classic.

Shine named second team all state

Carson linebacker Nick Shine was selected to the Las Vegas Sun's second team all state team. Shine was a first team all league and second team all Northern 4A selection. The 6-foot-2 junior also played tight end and caught two touchdown passes.
