Classical lunches program continues


Brewery Arts Center's summer music series "Friday Classical Lunches" continues every Friday, 11:30 to 1:30 p.m., at the BAC patio, 449 W King St. Admission is free. Light lunches, snacks, and beverages are available for purchase, and visitors are welcome to bring their own.


This week, Sue Kitts, violin, and Wendy Ray, flute, will present an exploration of musical styles through the ages.

'Concerts & Cocktails' kickoff set for Friday


"Concerts & Cocktails," a new part of the Sierra Arts Concerts in the Gallery program, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Sierra Arts Gallery, 17 S. Virginia St. in Reno. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. The events feature young songwriters. Call 329-2787.




Discover Davis Creek on ranger-guided hike


Participants in a ranger-led hike can learn all about Davis Creek, from the prehistoric plants to the area's best fishing holes at 7 p.m. Thursday as part of Washoe County's "Discover Your Parklands" guided hiking series.
