Former Carson High standout Darrell Rasner, now in the Washington Nationals organization, will once again be conducting a clinic for pitchers in the Ray Austin Memorial Baseball Academy, also known as RAMB.

The clinic will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at the Nevada Appeal warehouse. Rasner will also make an appearance at the Carson City Little League signups to be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Carson City Community Center. Rasner will be there from 9-11 to sign autographs and talk baseball.

Carson City Little League will also hold signups from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the community center.

Rasner, a 1999 Carson High graduate and former University of Nevada standout, was called up to the Major Leagues with the Nationals this past September. Rasner finished his short stint with a 3.68 earned run average, which included 4.2 scoreless innings in relief. He's expected to compete for a spot in the Nationals' starting rotation when spring training begins next month.
