A memorial service with military honors for James W. "Jim" Graves, 64, a six-year Carson City resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Visitation will be at noon-4 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Graves died Jan. 17, 2006, at his home. He was born Feb. 23, 1941, in Pitcher, Okla., to Louie Charles and Lorene Day Graves.
He graduated from Issaquah High School, in Issaquah, Wash. He attended business college.
He married Joetta Luttrell on Aug. 10, 1963, in Banning, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Puyallup, Wash.
He was a truck driver for Gordon Trucking in Pacific, Wash., and he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2401, in Puyallup, Wash. He was a Lutheran.
He was preceded in death by his father and two granddaughters.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; sons Randolph C. of Carson City and James M. of Tacoma, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law Deborah and David Schlott of Carson City; mother of Renton, Wash.; sisters Ima Jean, Irma and Patsy and brothers Buford, Ronald, Donald and Tom, all of Washington state, and six grandchildren.
Cremation at by Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
