Betty Jane Hickman, 76, a three-year Gardnerville resident, died May 31, 2006, at her daughter's home in Gardnerville.
Ms. Hickman was born Aug. 25, 1929, in Peru, Ind., to Harvey Webster and Irene Guinn. She was a high school graduate.
Before moving to Gardnerville, Ms. Hickman lived in Buffalo, Mo.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by longtime companion Walter Mehler.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Sandra K. Gibson of Gardnerville; sister, Donna Grant of Peru, Ind.; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Inurnment will take place in Buffalo next to her longtime companion.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
