CHS class of '66 holds 40-year reunion


The Carson High School Class of 1966's 40-year class reunion is July 28-29. A no-host cocktail party is set for 7 p.m. July 28 at the Old Globe Saloon, 407 S. Infant massage and communication classes


There will be classes for infant massage and communication starting today at 9:30 a.m. or 7 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. Sessions are five weeks and classes are approximately 90 minutes. Cost is $100 for the session. For information or to register, call 720-1313 or 841-1774.

Last chance to see exhibit


The Nevada State Museum has announced the last chance to see the popular exhibit "Interwoven: Visions of the Great Basin Basketmakers," an exhibition featuring fine-woven and hand-crafted baskets and vessels. Creations by many of the region's finest basketmakers and weavers will be displayed in the new changing gallery at the Nevada State Museum through Aug. 7.

Douglas County


Genoa reschedules candidates night


The Town of Genoa's semi-annual Northern Nevada and Douglas County Candidates Night is 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Genoa Town Hall. This event was rescheduled due to a conflict with another town hall meeting. Residents of Genoa and Douglas County can meet the candidates running for office in the Aug. 15 primary election. Candidates will be given five minutes to tell voters what they stand for, with questions and answers following. Call 782-8696.

Dayton historical society to discuss state park

'Bad Bikes' show set for Thursday at Dick's

Child Protective Services reporting line to change


The phone numbers and address to report child abuse and neglect in Washoe County have changed as of Tuesday. The new phone number is 785-8600, fax is 785-8648. The new physical address is 350 S. Center St.
