A memorial for Linda C. Talmant, 51, a four-year Carson City resident, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Talmant died Oct. 13, 2006, in Carson City. She was born May 20, 1955, in Tacoma, Wash., to George and Geanie Turner.

She married Alex Talmant on May 10. 1987, in Carmel, Calif.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Reno.

Mrs. Talmant enjoyed decorating, travel, cooking and baking.

She worked for the state of Nevada in a variety of areas. She attended Capitol Christian Center and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1985, and brothers John Turner in 1991 and Gene Turner in 1985.

Among her survivors are her husband, of Carson City; son Christopher Joy and partner Michael of Reno; daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Frank Rowe of Reno; mother and step-father Geanie and Mitch Mitchem of Trail, Ore., and one grandson.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
