A memorial service for Branden Berry, 22, a 21-year Carson City resident, will be at 3 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Berry died Oct. 12, 2006, in Carson City. He was born July 28, 1984, in Orange, Calif., to Brad and Joleen Berry.
He graduated from Carson High School in 2002. He then attended the University of Nevada, Reno, and Truckee Meadows Community College before graduating from Western Nevada Community College's Police Officer Standards and Training Academy in August.
He enjoyed cars and computers.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandfather Robert Gross.
Among his survivors are his mother; sister, Amanda Berry; uncles Gary and Rob Gross and their families; grandmother Dorothy Gross; and numerous extended-family members.
Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
