Senator spikers win in a rout

The Carson High volleyball team rolled to a 25-10, 25-13, 25-18 win at Wooster on Thursday.

"They played really well," said Carson coach Shana Wilkins about her team, which improved to 4-2 in the Sierra League. "Wooster didn't play really well. They had a hard time.

"My team did a good job of playing our game. We still executed no matter what Wooster was doing. I'm really pleased with that. We played as a team."

Danae Eckart had seven kills, Kailey Taylor had four kills and two blocks, Blaike King had four kills, Lindsay Ford had five aces, two blocks, three digs and 23 assists, Nicole Carlevato had four aces nd Angelica Blade added three digs.

GALENA 3, MANOGUE 0

Nancy Burrows had 11 kills, six blocks and 12 digs and Emily Aguiar added seven kills and 13 blocks as Galena won 25-14, 25-18, 25-14. Johanna Dibble had six kills, Amy Scott had five kills, Madison Hardy had 33 assists, five blocks and five digs, Brooke Keever had two aces and Micaella Lim added eight digs.

Manogue won the junior varsity match 25-27, 27-17, 18-16 and the freshmen match 25-21, 21-25, 15-12.

CHS FROSH 2, WOOSTER 0

Carson (14-2) won the freshmen match 25-20, 25-23. Alexis Church had two digs, two aces, Amanda Rupert had one kill and three aces, Andrea Clutska had four kills, three aces and two blocks, Katie Carlevato had five kills, one dig, and one ace, Sara Andersen had six kill, two digs, four aces and 10 assists, Kaitlin Berkich had one kill, one dig, two aces and Kendra Krupp had three kills and Kelly Kerkla had one kill and two aces.

CHS JVS 2, WOOSTER 0

Carson won the JV match 23-25, 25-15, 15-8. Brittney Sly had four aces and two kills, Kristina Diamond had three aces and three kills and Sarah Kerkla had three aces, three kills, one block and two digs.
