The Nevada Department of Transportation lists the following highway controls summary as of 9:10 a.m.:
US Highway 50 " Snow tires or chains required for 26.8 miles between SR 89 and .4 miles west of US Highway 395 in South Carson City. Snow tires or chains required for 13.5 miles between 14 miles east of Placerville, Calif. and 2 miles west of Kyburz. Chains mandatory for 27.7 miles between 2 miles west of Kyburz and SR 89.
Interstate 80 " Chains mandatory between Drum, Calif. Exit 150 and 0.6 miles west of Garson Road Exit 4.
US Highway 395 " High wind advisory in Washoe Valley; campers and trailers not advised. Snow tires or chains required for 4.3 miles between north Washoe Hill and SR 341 and 431.
Controls are also listed for SR 28, SR 88 and SR 89.
