Opal Louella Lynch

Opal Louella Lynch, 87, a 30-year resident of Carson City, died Aug. 30, 2007, in Paradise, Calif., after a brief illness.

Mrs. Lynch was born May 25, 1920. She was a beautician, PBX operator for Trans World Air Lines and a bank teller. She moved to Carson City in 1977.

She volunteered at the senior center for more than 27 years. She received two awards for 28,000 hours of service at the senior center. She was a member of the White Shrine, Eagles and the Stewart Community Baptist Church.

She was a Tri Chem instructor. She enjoyed Bunco.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Among her survivors are sons and daughters-in-law Jesse and Jo Del Daves of Paradise and Robert and Sally Daves of Fair Oaks, Calif.; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

A celebration of life will be 2-4 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Plantation Club House. For directions, call Jo Del Daves at (530) 872-0186.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Paradise Hospice, 1280 Bille Road, Paradise, CA 95969.
