Estes struggles again for Padres
Douglas High graduate Shawn Estes had his second straight rough outing against the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday.
Estes, a 1991 Douglas graduate trying to make the San Diego Padres opening day roster possibly as a fifth starter, allowed three runs on four hits while walking one in one inning of work in a 15-4 loss to Oakland. In two outings so far this spring, Estes has allowed nine runs on eight hits through 1.2 innings while striking out one and walking three.
