Western Nevada College has new Web site and e-mail addresses


Starting March 15, the old "wncc.edu" addresses will no longer work and everything sent to college departments and faculty members will need to be addressed to "wnc.edu." The college asks that the public update all bookmarks and address book entries to reflect the new "wnc.edu" domain name. For the college Web site, use: http://www.wnc.edu/.




Dog Obedience Class at Fuji Park Exhibit


Guy Yeaman teaches dog obedience classes 6:30 p.m. today at the Fuji Park Exhibit Hall. Teach your dog to obey commands such as: heel, sit, stay, stand and recall. Each dog needs a choke chain and a fabric or leather lead. Dogs must be at least four months old and current on their shots. Cost for the six -week session is $75. Affordable lab screenings offered by Carson Tahoe


Carson Tahoe offers affordable lab screenings on the second Tuesday of each month. Doctor's orders are NOT required. Included: Comprehensive Metabolic and Lipid Panel, PSA, CBC, TSH, and Hemoglobin A1c. Appointments are required.

CHS Class of 1988 20th reunion scheduled


The Carson High School Class of 1988 20th reunion will be held June 20-21.

Les Dudek's performance postponed

Mortgage seminar slated for March 26

Eating program for diabetes patients


Carson Tahoe Medical Center hosts "Know Your Healthy Eating" 2-3 p.m. Wednesday Minden Medical Center. This program is designed to help people with diabetes understand the role of nutrition in managing diabetes and how to use basic carbohydrate counting. Learn how carbohydrate counting is a simple-to-use method for healthy eating. A free set of measuring cups is included with the class materials. For information call 885-4506.
