Western Nevada College's Tyson Jaquez had another strong day and former WNC and Carson High star Aaron Henry also had a strong outing in the University of Nevada baseball team's second intrasquad scrimmage on Friday.

The Blue beat the White 7-5. Nevada will continue its five-scrimmage series at 9 a.m. Monday at Peccole Park. All of the scrimmages are free and open to the public.

Chris Garcia, who pitched for the Nevada Bighorns this past summer, had a strong outing, pitching four shutout inniings, allowing one hit for the Blue. Sammy Miller also pitched two shutout innings for the Blue. Carson High graduate Tony Fagan struggled in his start for the White, allowing five runs in three innings.

Jaquez, who is playing third base, led the Blue for the second straight game, hitting a two-run home run. Jaquez also walked twice and scored two runs. Henry, playing right field, doubled twice and scored twice for the Blue. Joe Wallace added an RBI triple for the Blue.

For the white, right fielder Bret Hart hit a three-run homer and added a double in going 2-for-2.
