George Charles Hillman passed away Jan. 10, 2009 in Carson City. He was 75 years old. George was born Jan. 23, 1933 in Virginia to Charles and Mallie Losella Hillman.
George moved to California in 1959 where he lived for 33 years. He moved to Carson City in 1994. George worked as an engineer for 48 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Charles A. Hillman, and brothers Everett, Gus and McQuarry Hillman.
He is survived by his wife Nila Hillman; two daughters Gaye Israel and Glenda Hillman and two sons Gary and Jamie Hillman; two stepchildren Marcia and Robert Esparza; one sister, Eliza Stroup; three brothers, Richard, Curtis and Johnny Hillman; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In honor of George, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 100 Bush St., San Francisco, CA 94104.
A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m., Sunday at George and Nila's residence, 2627 Airport Rd. Carson City.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley has been entrusted with his arrangements.
