Romance and Reality: The account of Eagle Falls in the Appeal of recent has excited an English tourist to pay a visit to the spot. He reached the place Wednesday night and was so delighted with the natural beauties of the falls that he slung his hammock directly above them. "Awh so romantic you know, what falls you fellows 'ave 'ere to be sure. Blawst my hies, hi never saw the like (continued Friday)."

100 YEARS AGO

Last evening a special train bearing about 100 members of the Reno Lodge of Elks arrived in this city. The delegation was met at the depot by the local members of the order and the Nevada State band. Members went to the Opera house to celebrate the 133rd anniversary of the adoption of the American Flag.

Persons familiar with weather in Carson describe temperatures as "July weather." On Sunday, the gauge reached 100 degrees.
