Think you don't have what it takes to finish a triathlon? Think again. The Carson Aquatic Facility's self-paced triathlon is back.

Keep your exercise program on track through the holiday season and accomplish something you never thought you could.

How does a self-paced triathlon work? It works like a regular triathlon - involving three disciplines of exercise: swimming, biking and running - except this individualized version takes place over a more than month's time.

Participants choose the category distances they would like to enter based on their own schedule, strengths, goals and fitness levels, and then have a full 40 days to accomplish that goal either at the Aquatic Facility or on their own.

The triathlon will run Nov. 21 through Jan. 1. Categories offer a range of distance requirements to suit everyone's needs and abilities. Participants who reach their goal will receive a triathlon T-shirt.

The cost for this event is $15 per person, plus pool admission when using the facility.

For more information, call 775-887-2242 or stop by the Carson Aquatic Facility at 841 N. Roop St. to register.

Online registration is also available at www.carson.org/ccpr.
