CCSD trustees meet Thursday

A regular meeting of the Churchill County School District Board will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Churchill County Administration Office, 690 S. Maine St.

Items to be discussed and that are up for possible actions include the following:

For discussion and possible action: Call for oral bids, written bid opening, and possible action to accept bid for the grazing lease for the Rio Vista Property.

For discussion and possible action: Accept a possible pending offer to purchase the Churchill County High School construction house located at 462 Discovery Drive.

For discussion only: Update regarding fundraisers that are occurring now, what the money is used for, the amount of money raised, what fund the money is put into, and who manages the money.

For discussion only: Update regarding the purpose for the West End complex prep kitchen.

For discussion only: Update regarding the E.C. Best punch list; the status on the music room addition; and an update on the sound system in the Pit.

For discussion and possible action: Approve award of a contract in the amount of $102,000 to CR Engineering of Reno for design services for replacing HVAC units at Churchill County High School.

For discussion and possible action: Approve award of a contract in the amount of $31,878 to Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects of Reno for design services for renovating the science wing of the Churchill County Middle School.

For discussion and possible action: The board will take action to determine the level of assistance Churchill County School District provides to hearing impaired students pursuant to AB210.

For discussion only: Update regarding recent universal behavioral screening administered at schools.

For discussion and possible Action: Presentation, discussion and possible action to accept the FY 2014-2015 amended budget.

For discussion only: Update regarding the list of requirements for closing a school and what the parameters are for modifying the use of a school, including possible scenarios for reconfiguring schools with a school closure.
