The Carson City Symphony will present the 30th annual Holiday Treat concert at 4 p.m. Dec. 15 at Bob Boldrick Theater in the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.
The symphony will be joined by the Carson City Symphony Chorus and Norma Conway’s Victorian Dancers. Pre-concert entertainment begins at 3 p.m. in the lobby.
Tickets cost $15 for general admission and $12 for seniors, students and Symphony Association members; they are free for ages 16 and younger. Tickets are available in advance at Play Your Own Music in the Carson Mall, at CCSymphony.com, by mail or at the door.
The Carson City Symphony, conducted by David Bugli, will perform several works, including “Russian Christmas Music” by Alfred Reed and “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” by Jule Styne.
The Carson City Symphony Chorus, under the direction of Michael Langham, will perform “Sure on this Shining Night” by Morton Lauridsen, “Lux Aurumque” by Eric Whitacre,” the Austrian carol “Still, still, still” and the traditional “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
The Victorian Dancers will twirl and slide to Emile Waldteufel’s “Skater’s Waltz.” Performers and audience will join for the traditional Holiday Treat finale, “A Christmas Singalong.”
Blood donors may receive a complimentary ticket if they donate at United Blood Services’ Carson City Donor Center between Dec. 7 and Dec. 14.
