County meeting today

The second Churchill County Commission meeting of January will be conducted today at 1:15 p.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding Bill 20 15-A, Ordinance 115, an ordinance related to the duties of the Churchill County Public Administrator.

Consideration and possible action regarding an application for a zone change filed by JoAnn Davig Caras from E-1 to C-2, heavy commercial district, for property located at 500 Roberson Lane, Assessor’s Parcel Number 008-572-07, consisting of 1.03 acres in the E-1 land use district.

Consideration and possible action regarding informational presentation of the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and draft Resource Management Plan (RMP) for the Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management.

Consideration and possible action regarding presentation of a petition regarding safety concerns with hunting along the Carson River within and close to residential development.

Consideration and possible action regarding letter from Churchill County Sheriffs Deputies Association as its notice of intent to negotiate an agreement with Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding Resolution 02-2015 requesting assignment of a deputy attorney general in the prosecution of a conflict case in Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of a professional services agreement with GEM Consulting for the provision of lobbying services during the 2015 Legislative Session.

Consideration and possible action regarding interlocal contract between the State of Nevada, Public Employees’ Deferred Compensation Committee and Churchill County.
