Rosie Laird, a Carson City landscape artist, is teaming up with It’s a Girl Thang from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday to raise money for the Nevada Humane Society in Carson City.
Laird will provide a live oil painting demonstration at the event, hosted by It’s a Girl Thang, 1921 N. Carson St. The completed painting will be raffled at 4 p.m.; the winner does not need to be present.
Raffle tickets, available for $2 each or $5 for three, are available at It’s a Girl Thang or Carson City Animal Services, 3770 Butti Way.
