Local Carson City firefighters and sheriff’s deputies responded to a Carson City school bus accident transporting Carson High School students and two other vehicles on Tuesday.

The green field is actually a pond

Dear readers, on my daily walk around Liberty Park, I spotted an unusual sight. The pond appeared to be solid green; it was not dark green but vibrant bright green. A quick sprint over to the pond confirmed my observation, because the entire surface was covered with algae.

The Punt, Pass, Kick football skills competition returns to Fallon next month.
